​Ian Richardson, a native of Richmond VA, began his editing career in New York City as an assistant editor in the independent film industry culminating as the first assistant editor on "Wet Hot American Summer."

Eventually transitioning to Los Angeles, Ian found his niche in documentary film and television editing ultimately winning a Primetime Emmy Award in 2017 for "Life Below Zero."

​Ian has a diverse portfolio of projects, accumulating an extensive list of credits for feature films, short form projects, network television and streaming services.

​He lives in The Milky Way on Planet Three.
